When the "Ext" button is on ("external"), the trigger timing of a real oscilloscope is not determined using the signal from channel 1 or 2 but from the external trigger input.

In this simulation it is not possible to provide real-time calculations to do this.
A cable can be attached to the external trigger input, but the signal does not influence trigger timing in this simulation.
