Volts/Div

The "Volts/Div" controls amplify the input signal so that for each division a voltage level is in valid. A "division" is a  square on the screen.

A setting of "0.5" means the height of a single square equals a voltage of 0.5v. An amplitude of 1v would occupy of two vertical divisions.

The "Volts/Div" control is made up of two knobs. The larger knob is used to select the calibrated values. To obtain calibrated values, the smaller control must be set to its anti-clockwise position.

Using the smaller control located in the centre of the larger control, values between those on the face of the CRO can be obtained.  It is clicked "off" to use the values on the front of the CRO.
